Moonlight Cinema is Sydney’s most relaxed and atmospheric outdoor summer cinema, screening new releases, cult classics and family favourites under the stars at the Belvedere Amphitheatre in Centennial Park.
Gates open 90mins before the film – enough time to spread out a picnic, grab food and drinks on site and catch-up as the sun sets. Bring a blanket and settle in on the grass, or upgrade to a premium experience.

What should I bring?
A few simple additions can help make your Moonlight session extra comfortable:
- If you’re in General Admission, bring something to sit or sprawl on – a picnic rug, pillows, bean bags or even a blanket. We also offer a limited number of bean bags for hire on-site
- A warm layer or blanket – it can cool down once the sun sets
- Mozzie repellent – handy in the warmer months
- A debit card, credit card or gift card – all venues are cashless for food, drinks and bean bed hire
- Your favourite snacks or a full picnic – BYO is welcome, including alcohol (except in Brisbane)
- That bottle of bubbly you’ve been saving for a special occasion (don’t forget some cups!) or last night’s pasta – it’s your night, your way
Prefer to travel light? Our licensed bar and kitchen offer light meals, snacks and drinks. Or opt for extra ease with our Connoisseur Lounge or Singapore Airlines Gold Grass experiences which have bean-beds included in the ticket price.
What seating areas are available?
There are three types of seating available at Moonlight Cinema Sydney.
Premium seating options consist of Platinum Experience, GWM Gold Grass and Connoisseur Lounge. These areas include a bean bed with your ticket.
General Admission tickets do not include a bean bed but there are a limited number of bean beds for hire at the venue on a first come, first served basis. Alternatively, you can bring your own bean bags, cushions, blankets and rugs. If you need to bring a chair, you will be directed to a dedicated area at the venue as these can obstruct the view of other guests.
